There are lots of reasons that are easy to find to not love Brooklyn so much. It's crowded, it smells bad in the summer, it's pretty noisy a lot of the time. But man, there are a lot of reasons to love it too. My upstairs neighbor Ruth told me once that New York City is like a relationship, and that there are love periods and hate periods, and in between periods. In the summer when it's 100 degrees and I am slave to my air conditioner that is belching the stink of the street into our living room, I'm ready to move to California, literally spending every waking minute trying to figure out how to move our life westward. But today? In the snow? I'm in a love period. Here are three reasons why....
